Assalamu Alaikum, I am Abdullah Ibne Hanif Arean, a Master’s student at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Dhaka, and the elected President of Dhaka University IT Society (DUITS). Alongside my academic journey, I have been actively involved in research on Artificial Intelligence, particularly in Natural Language Processing. With the inspiration and support of my peers, I am announcing my candidacy for the position of Science & Technology Secretary in the upcoming Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Election 2025. From my first year at DU, I have organized 2000+ student engagements through workshops, training programs, and skill development initiatives. I founded the DU.AI community, built platforms like the Dhaka University Skill Development Platform, and contributed to software, datasets, and research projects that empower students. My vision is to make DU more technologically advanced, aligned with the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the United Nations SDGs. Through initiatives like AI-powered student services, modernized curriculum, and startup incubation, I aim to build a more innovative and research-driven campus. I have always believed that student leadership should be about competence, service, and vision—not political identity.
